Today while booking a business class flight to Brazil I noticed that aa.com has completely removed any reference to what that trip will earn as far as EQMs EQDs and segments. Two days ago this information was there at the end of the purchase process. Today it is completely gone. What possible business motivation does AA have by hiding these details? They hard pitch their program including forcing passengers to sit through their stupid infomercial for the Aviator card on every flight. I base 75% of my travel decision on what my earning will be. This is just stupid. Any idea what is going on?

I find that it's only always there when booking a flight exclusively on American metal, and no flights on partners. It's been that way for at least a year or so, best I can remember.

I tend to use milecalc.com to figure out the EQMs myself, it is usually pretty accurate. There are other sites as well. Dollars are easy - just look at your base fare.

Agreed they should display it front and center! But that's how I've dealt with it...
