Airline canceled ticket not flight, trying to rebook

    We presented to Lax, went to check-in, and found that our award booking was canceled. It was an award ticket on Avianca booked with united miles. At the desk, Avianca stated "united does this, and does finish the ticket." So we call united, they can't find us and Avianca says they can see the canceled flights. (This goes bavk and forth a bit). Eventually, the tickets all appear (departure, connecting between lima and bohota, and return). They changed our return date (not ideal we have to work, but needed to take off). Since trying to reschedule on the original departure, we have found that the second 2 parts have disappeared again.


    Yes, we got confirmation numbers even a print out from the orginal desk that helped us but that document has proven unhelpful.

    Prior ro departure, we ensured everything was physically ticketed.

    3 ppl but 2 different reservations and both canceled.

    Business class tickets.

    We keep getting hung up on, getting a straight answer.

    What's the easiest way to get confirmation of a flight?

    What's the easiest way to change a ticket if they are still delayed a day?
