Hey guys so usually when traveling to india and back from LA on a roundtrip, I do it all on one ticket, be it cash, award, whatever. However this time I wanted to try a new airline so I booked a multiple itinerary with the following details:

    Ticket #1
    AA LAX-NRT
    JL NRT-SIN

    Ticket #2
    TG SIN-BKK
    TG BKK-BOM

    TG BOM-BKK
    TG BKK-SIN

    Ticket #1
    QF SIN-SYD
    AA SYD-LAX

So I've ready plenty of Ben's adventures with multiple tickets however each time a ticket terminated, he would always have a stopover in that city meaning he would leave the airport and come back. I, without thinking, left only enough time in between the flights on different tickets for a couple hour layover. On both, the inbound and outbound component, my ticket terminates in Singapore. Now I haven't been to SIN in years but if I recall, when you deplane you are let out directly into airside at the terminal right? Because they have the security at each gate and not a single security for all flights? If not, will simply having a printout of the ticket for the next portion of the journey work at security or will i need to have a boarding pass? Not sure if TG does mobile boarding passes or not but I do not want to take chances with that. I hope my question was worded clearly and if it was not, please let me know I would be glad to clarify what I am asking. Thanks and cheers all!

Yeah, at SIN, security is at each gate and i'm pretty sure you need a boarding pass. Not sure about the mobile boarding pass. TG's app on iOS has bad reviews and it seems like you'd be able to check in but not get a mobile BP.

What's convenient for you is that JL and TG both operate out of T1 at SIN and you are airside when you deplane in SIN. There are transit desks airside - find the one for TG and they'll print your boarding pass.

Oh ok so like most airports where If you have a connecting flight there will be a general security for all of the gates and then you’ll need a BP to get through that to get back to airside departure, In SIN I’ll be able to access airside directly after my flight to print bp then go to gate right? Also my Thai flights are in business class so do you think they’ll be able to print my boarding pass at the Royal silk lounge? Thanks. Also on the way back when I come into Singapore from Mumbai, my connecting flight on the separate ticket will be on Qantas and American Airlines. Will I be able to print both there so I don’t have the same issue in sydney? Thanks David.

Yeah i think the RS lounge will be able to print your BP. But get an idea of where the transit desk is in case they cant or if you come across it before you get to the lounge.

On your return QF should be able to print your BP for AA as well.

What's unfortunate is that my inbound flight to SIN from NRT comes in at around midnight. Im going to assume those transfer desks wont open until morning. I really hope thai's app can work some magic because I'd love to relax in a silverKris lounge during the midnight hours while waiting for my TG flight at 12PM later that day
