    Hi Ben or Tiffany,

Assuming I sign up for the Chase BA card and meet the spending requirement for the travel together ticket...
    1) If I fly roundtrip from US to LHR, will the cash cost with the carrier-imposed surcharge by $1,800 per person?
    2) I believe the travel together ticket is only valid for round trips and on BA metal. So does that mean the "booking 2 one way flights" surcharge work around does not apply to the travel together ticket since its only valid for round trips?
    3) If I brought a lap infant on this flight, will I only be charged just 10% of the avios, or will I be charged 10% of the avoids plus another $1,800 for the baby? Or would it be 10% of the avios and $180 (or 10% of $1,800) for the baby?

    Thanks for answering my question.

    Hi Derek!

    1) Yep, roughly

    2) Round trips aren't enforced, but you wouldn't be able to use the two one-ways trick and use the companion cert.

    3) 10% of the adult mileage ticket, plus full taxes & fees

Personally, I don't think this is a good value proposition with the new surcharges, especially not with a baby. Yes, you're getting a discount on the mileage required, but I'm not sure the BA First seat is spacious enough for it to be a better option than business class with a lap infant.

Unless you're already drowning in Avios, I might look at another program, such as Aeroplan, for this trip, personally.
