Boeing's Dreamlifter and Airbus's Beluga are for in-house use only, specifically for transporting parts to build their aircrafts. It's not available for commercial customers. The largest cargo aircraft Boeing has is the 748-F. Airbus doesnt have plans to make a freighter version of the A380.

I want to assume that it was either Boeing or Airbus for this and it went to Boeing.
