Etihad's chart is distance based but your Citi ThankYou points can be transferred to Etihad's program to book award seats. Checking for award seats on Etihad's website shows that SFO-AUH in business class is 105k miles plus $110 in taxes and fees. I believe that since youre booking award seats on via Etihad's program, it may include chauffeur service. If this is important, please confirm with Etihad before transferring miles and ticketing awards.

It's enough for a round trip SFO-AUH on Etihad and could include chauffeur service since youre booking with Etihad's program. Just transfer the points to Etihad Guest.

Just to clarify, that is the cost for a one way ticket and the taxes are a little higher for the return so you would need 210,000 miles and ~$295 per person RT. You could do one way in business and then see if you could get a cheap paid fare or economy award for the return with your UR points.

For the return, though inconvenient, you could get a economy paid ticket to Cairo, then get a cheap 1 or 2 stop business paid fare to SFO.
