    Hi there,

I'm sure this has been covered before, but my simple search didn't find a link that addressed it. I recently got Chase's Sapphire Reserve Card. After the first month I got the 50,000 point bonus. Given the priority pass and $300 a year travel reimbursement, its a card I will probably keep despite the annual cost.

I noticed that the Chase Ink Business Preferred Card came with a nice 80,000 bonus points and offers 3X points on cable, internet and phone. Is there a certain amount of time I will need to wait between getting the Sapphire Reserve Card and applying for the Ink Business Preferred Card? Will I still get the 80,000 bonus points, assuming the minimum spend requirement is met? Most importantly, will I be able to combine my UR points earned from the Ink Business Preferred Card with the UR points linked to my Sapphire Reserve Card? If so, how is that done?

    Thanks for any advice.

You sure can! As long as you haven't applied for more than two Chase cards in the past 30 days, or 5 personal or Capital One cards in the past 24 months, you should be able to get the Ink Preferred.

Chase wants you to have a "wardrobe" of cards, if it means you are keeping theirs and not their competitor's in the front of your wallet, so it's absolutely okay to have both personal and business cards, and the points easily combine:

Thanks Tiffany. Great article. Although I was dissappointed that the link in it to the baby otter was dead. :(
