I’m about to book three premium cabin tickets as the schedule opens up for Oct 2019 on Korean Air. Do you recommend I book it right away when the date opens up as an one way on the outbound with a stop in Seoul before we go to HK and then the return as a separate one way when the dates open up later in October? Or wait to do both dates at one time? Can I do this all online or is it better to call in?

Btw, if I need to change the dates later on, is that just a CAD$30 fee for each change? And is it a fee or points if we do a cabin change down the road if a first class seat opens up? (Right now I’m only seeing 2 first class seats open on a couple of dates, and one biz class). Thanks!

Pls bear with me for asking such silly questions but how do I book a flight for YVR (let’s say for 10/8/2019 to Seoul (stopover for 6 days) then to HKG? I want to make sure I get the YVR to Seoul flight (there is only one flight a day) secured as soon as the schedule opens up 361 days out...but that would mean the sample date of 10/15 (from Seoul to HKG), wouldn’t have opened up yet. So what do I do? How do I get it all on the same award ticket reservation? Does it mean I’ll have to wait until at least the 10/20 for the 10/15 schedule to be open as well before I can book the YVR to Seoul portion altogether? Thanks!

They're not silly questions if you don't know the answer! I can't answer everything but I would book the trip as 2 one-ways so that you get the flights you want. And yes, if you're booking the stopover you'll have to wait the extra few days until the last leg can be booked as well - unless Korean has some sort of way to place the ticket on hold. I've never booked with them so I'm not sure about that or about the change fees.
