    Hi all,

I have a 5 night award stay at the St. Regis Princeville in March. I had to call them yesterday to confirm something and found out that effective almost immediately, they will no longer be part of Marriott, and by the time I get there will not even be the St. Regis anymore.

The hotel is honoring my stay, and they claim all service levels will remain the same, however at the very least this means I won't be able to earn stay credits, get my gold benefits (they said they upgrade golds 1 room category), or earn points for on-site spend while there. Everything is already booked and assuming the hotel will essentially be the same I don't see any reason to cancel this trip, however I do feel I will be getting a lesser experience than I paid Marriott for, and therefore feel that Marriott should somehow compensate me for this. Does anyone have any experience with a similar situation, or advice on how to proceed or what I could expect to receive from Marriott?

    Thanks!

St Regis in Princeville is leaving SPG on 11/16/2018, meaning hat any status benefits won’t hold true anymore after that date. What recourse does one have if holding an existing reservation and flights have been committed to? Any chance SPG will cancel reservations and refund flight costs? Not sure if it’s worth staying there if upgrades, bonus point earnings, breakfast and late checkout are no longer in play. Thanks!

    Hi Hamburglar and Kbulo.

Ben updated his post and looks like he tried to answer some of your questions and concerns in the comments section:

Personally, I think you could make a fair argument that breakfast and/or late checkout should still be included. Anything else, in my opinion, would be a stretch...
