    Hi Ben,

Thank you for a great blog, such a pleasure to be enlightened in regards of points and the airline industry in general - the varierity in content make your blog stand out.

Reading your post about being the only pax in First class, specifically the following sentence had me wondering:

"Obviously the quality of first class products globally varies significantly, based on the airline, time of day you fly, the specific crew you get, etc. However, there’s one characteristic that has made flights special without exception — when you’re the only passenger in first class"

I am not in a position where it is easy to accummulate enough points to fly in First (Living in Denmark sure is great in every other aspect than points), but I pay for Business Class once in a while.

I'm at a stage in life, where I Think its time to treat myself to a First Class experience, though it will likely be the only time I can adford it.

So my question is, what one First Class flight would you choose? Kind of like the last supper - a one off experience.

    Taking into Account:

    - Ground experience, soft and hard product, length of flight, timing on the day, novelty, the exita perks etc.

I know it also depends on where you live etc, but I Think it is an interesting thought - one flight left, which is also your first First - which one would you choose?

    All the Best,
    Anton

That's hard to say. Each great first class has a unique experience.

I want to suggest Air France First Class on their 77Ws. They have a great ground experience in Paris CDG and a private on board product. Most recently, Lucky flew Paris to Houston and he was the only F passenger.

    Hello Anton.

Do you have any special destination in mind that you want to travel to? Or even just a general area?

    Hi Anton,

I never flew international First Class up until this year, and I turned out to fly on 2 of the most aspirational first class products out there in one month!

I flew the Singapore Suites, which is really obviously incredible and kind of a "legendary" first class product. The only area they're kind of lacking is the ground experience - they have a pretty cool lounge in Singapore (the Private Room) but that's about it.

And I also flew Air France on their new La Premiere product, and that was completely unreal. If you do that, you have to either connect for several hours in Paris, or board your flight in Paris and have a few hours to spare. The ground experience there is ridiculous bar none. You are escorted the entire way, driven to the plane, and the lounge is insane (starred restaurant quality food, expensive wines and champagnes, spa treatments, etc). I believe that the fares are significantly lower if your trip originates in some cities in Northern Europe (I think that for some reason, it can be way cheaper if you leave from Oslo connecting in Paris to NYC or Asia). Just make sure you have at least 3-4 hours between flights.

    Hello Anton!

I have flown many international F segments on the like of QR, BA, AA, CX, JL, SQ, QF, LH, EY, EK but have not tried AF. I like to think that SQ is great but lacks the ground experience, LH is phenomenal but although the FCT in FRA, that ground experience can be lacking a bit (arrived in F a few months ago from LAX and had to walk all over FRA's large airport to immigration and exit to get the FCT) Emirates is great since the love keeping busy in the air, not just at my seat so the shower and onboard bar on the a380 was wonders when I went from LAX>DXB>SIN but the ground experience was lacking.

I think overall from what I have read/seen lately but had not had the opportunity to try is AF with regards to overall experience furthermore, they have some decent (in my opinion) fare from LHR to NRT/HKG/SIN connecting in CDG for around 5k USD which is close for you in Denmark (maybe even decent fares from CPH) gives you a long layover in CDG and a long flight to those asia destinations (although I do believe some are overnight)
