I want to travel from Aswan to Amman in one go. The options seem to be Egyptair the whole way with only an hour and 15mins transfer time in Cairo, or transfer to Royal Jordan with an additional hour, or have 6 hours in Cairo. Advice would really be appreciated. Cheers, Marion

No reason for a six hour connection if you're on a single ticket, I think either EgyptAir or RoyalJordanian would be fine!

Hi Tiffany, even with only an hour and 15 min connection time in Cairo? Sounds a bit tight...

It's a legal connection (the minimum at CAI for a domestic to international transfer in the same terminal is an hour), but you can book the RJ connection to give yourself a bit more time if you're more comfortable!

Six hours would just be excessive, in my opinion.

Thanks Tiffany. Wouldn't RJ be from a different terminal? I've been reading some blogs saying that transfer between terminals takes a lot of time. (There are 5 of us travelling, not just me).

EgyptAir uses terminal 3 for both those flights, so I'd think one hour would be fine? RJ does use terminal 2, and the minimum connection from T3 to T2 is two hours, so you'd still be beyond the minimum. Five people traveling is more complicated, but spending six hours in the Cairo airport just sounds miserable if you can avoid it. Screen Shot 2018-10-31 at 9.08.21 AM.png
