Elite Status UNITED, close to MIllion Mile mark?

    just retired after flying 930,00 miles w United, should I make any effort/expense to obtain Million Mile Status?? is it worth it.

    If you wish to travel in retirement the extra 70,000 miles isn't a huge barrier to cross. I was in a similar situation a few years ago with Delta even though I had not flown them for a decade (moving on to US Air and then AA) and I went back to complete my million miles for the status. I might decide to use them in retirement.
