I know AA typically does not charge for award changes if only date/time are changing. However, if I wanted to switch from one Cathay Pacific flight that lands at JFK to another Cathay Pacific flight that lands at EWR, would this prompt a change fee? I wasn’t sure if all NYC airports were considered the same destination. Thanks!

If i recall correctly, AA used to consider EWR/JFK/LGA as the same destination but they no longer do, so you'd incur a change fee.

However, it cant hurt to try and ask to waive that fee. You may get lucky.
