    Hi.

I recently decided to give Alaska a try after 15 years of being an AA EXP. I will be taking my first trip of the year on AA, which was booked last year with my AA status. So I have main cabin extra seats selected for myself+2.

Question: Once I change my mileage credit to Alaska, will I lose my seats or will I be required to pay for them?

    Thanks in advance.

Se if you can status match to AS using your AA EXP. Keep your AA number there until youre at the gate then tell the agent to switch to AS. Your seat assignment should stick.

Note that AA domestic flights earn zero miles when crediting to AA.
