Hotels Best hotel loyalty program for non full service properties

Discussion in 'questions. answers. conversations.' started by Travelling Jake, May 24, 2018.

  1. I travel around 80-100 days a year for business and book my hotels through a company portal. Hotel stays are capped at 160 a night so most of the full service hotels that would get the bigger "perks" with higher tier benefits are out of the price range. So that leads me to the question of what hotel chain should I look at to try and make some use out of those elite benefits? As a note I am currently with Marriott and really just shooting for enough points to take the kids to one of the SPG properties on site at Disney, I dont really get any benefit being gold/platinum at fairfields and springhill's.

I’m in a similar position, where all of my business stays are typically at limited service properties under $200/night. But, at $150 per night, and 80 nights per year, that’s still 120,000 points at Marriott (plus another 60,000 if you factor in a platinum 50% bonus). I would just keep sticking with Marriott, if that’s where you are currently.
