The Chase Sapphire Reserve card provides a $300 travel credit each year, which offsets much of the $450 annual fee. Since this credit is provided at the end of each year, is the credit card fee really $450 for the first year and $150 for subsequent years, assuming the annual travel credit is used?

SScruiser the credits are issued as the charges are made, they are not held until the end of the year. So the annual fee would effectively be $150.
