I've had the CSR for a while now, and recently signed-up for the Ink Business Preferred mostly for the great bonus. As a business owner who does not spend much on advertising or shipping, and uses the Amex Gold Card for restaurants, I am trying to figure out if there is a reason to keep the CSR?

Both offer 3x for travel (hotel/air/Uber/etc), both have primary rental car coverage (which I use/value), the Ink includes telecom, etc. The only thing I can think of is 3x for international restaurants (not included in Amex Gold), but am I missing anything else here?

    Thanks!

You do also get a priority pass with CSR if that matters to you and a lot of people argue collecting Ultimate Rewards points over AMEX Points but otherwise I kind of concluded the same thing and currently don't see that much reason to keep a CSR long term.

The Ink preferred is enough for me to keep around over the CSR with its 3x travel, smaller annual fee even after CSR travel credit, and ability to transfer Ultimate Reward points.

International dining is where I would miss out on a little but my current go to for that is the Hyatt card. My eventual plan for international dining is most likely to churn the Citi Prestige (5x dining) and CSR (3x dining) every 2 years.

Thanks! I’m an authorized user on my wife’s Amex Platinum and also have the Chase Freedom/Freedom Unlimited, so covered on both the Priority Pass and UR fronts. My two main spending categories are travel and food (groceries and restaurants) which I use the CSR (currently) and Amex Gold for, respectively.

Given this, I guess I am still struggling to find a reason to keep the CSR now that I have the Ink Preferred, especially as my international travel is limited to one trip per year, maybe two...
