Chase Ultimate Rewards - Travel Agent Fee

    Greetings,

I booked 3 one way AA tickets via Chase Ultimate Rewards travel portal. Unfortunately, I had to cancel the flight due to a child illness. I received AA credit less the cancellation fee. I now tried to book a new flight using the existing credit and AA is now charging me a $50 "travel agent fee" per ticket since the original flight was booked via chase. My issues with this are:

    1) This is not disclosed via the Chase booking engine (at least not easily)
    2) Chase refuses to help rebook the ticket to avoid the fee
    3) AA refuses to remove the fee.

    Any thoughts on this?
