on the new citi premier bonus it and the chase dont seem good to use if you are trying to build AA or delta points, correct? However, we love singapore but have no points with them and wouldnt mind flying them again. can you transfer the 50k to singapore plus amex rewards points and spg points, too? so, if we want to have singapore you would advise the citi versus the chase sapphire?

That's the great thing about Singapore KrisFlyer miles. They partner with all four major transferrable points currencies -- Amex Membership Rewards, Chase Ultimate Rewards, Citi ThankYou Preferred, and Starwood Preferred Guest. Therefore they're quite easy to rack up.

I'd say KrisFlyer is the most valuable transfer partner. Other than that, I really value the ability to redeem Citi Prestige points for travel on American/US Airways at the rate of 1.6 cents per point. That way you can transfer points from the Citi ThankYou Premier to the Citi Prestige, and then redeem all those points for travel on American at the rate of 1.6 cents each.

Let us know if you have any other questions!
