I have recently been looking at flights from Denver to London and have had a ton of possible flights. Some were with TAP and Brussels Airline which don't serve Denver along with others. Does anyone know why?

Sounds like code shares. I see flights on UA planes to Brussels and from there connecting on Brussels Airlines to London. If the ticket is sold by Brussels Airlines is may appear with their flight number even though the flight is on a UA plane.

Or are you seeing something different?

I am also seeing code shares with United via EWR near-term (via Google Flights). From a (very) brief search, it looks like there are at least a couple airlines that are getting passengers to gateway airports and connecting onward.
