Like Lucky, I am a dual U.S.-EU citizen living in the United States. My EU member state is opening to EU citizen tourists -- across the EEA/EFTA/UK -- in early June, but I know the "ban" on non-essential travel from outside the EU continues until at least June 15th.

Given the coronavirus situation is currently far better in Europe than the United States -- and, as an EU citizen, I have the right to return to my EU member state and some other EU countries, regardless of restrictions -- I would like to spend the summer (or longer) in Europe, especially given I think it will be quite pleasant without mass tourism. Of course, I also want to help the EU economy!

Lucky, what do you think? Do you have any news about if EU citizens are welcome to return to the EU for tourism/remote work after June 15th?

Any other U.S.-EU dual citizens wondering the same thing?

    Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

EU Citizens are allowed to return to anywhere within the EU. You must travel only using your valid EU Passport. You may just have to do a 14 day quarantine upon arrival.
    Safe travels!
