With the good news of international travel from the UK allowed in May, I’m ready to book flights for myself and my two year old son!

Since I’ll have to buy him a seat, I definitely want him to start accruing miles. Might anyone have any recommendations for programs? We live in the UK, but I am a US citizen. My status is with AA, but I frequently (pre lockdown) flew BA as well. Wondering if I should sign up my son for AA or BA, also, he is a dual US/UK citizen, so wondering if it would be advantageous to set him up with UK info, thought I heard that minimum spend for status only applies in the US?

    many thanks and happy travels!

BA might be best, as it allows family pooling, and has some cheap awards within Europe? Alaska is also a nice option, as they'll be joining oneworld soon, and sell miles cheaply.
