I would be curious to get some opinions on how early to arrive for the following 2 lounges:

Cathay Pacific at HKG (i assume the Pier is the one to go to)
    Qantas International First at MEL

I can nearly guarantee it i will not be in Asia or Australia again, kind of a 1 time trip for me

I allowed myself 4 hours to try the Polaris lounge for the first time ever and it was probably an hour too long. However, both the PIer & Qantas at MEL (i know its not as amazing as SYD but looks great) seem to have more going on than Polaris.

Also, I know for the MEL lounge I am supposed to get contacted by Qantas if i want a massage but does anyone know how that works in HKG when my flight is Qantas to SYD but i want to get a massage at the Pier

Anyways just be curious how many hours are recommended for these 2 lounges

    Thank you

I am not sure, but you may have to reserve a massage in person at The Pier. My understanding is that it fills up quickly. Last time I inquired (at about 2 pm) I was told the next available was at 6 pm and I had a departure around ~5:00. I'd also suggest going to The Wing F lounge for a Cabana, if a bath or shower is desired. (The Pier has showers, but not bath tubs.) 3-4 hours is plenty of time between the 2 HKG lounges to drink some champagne, get a massage, try the noodle bar, eat in one of the table-service restaurants.

The only time I've been successful getting a massage at the Pier was with a 10 hour layover. Other times the wait time has been too long. It's still a great lounge to hang out in though.
