Looking to find a workaround to transfer points into Hyatt. Ventana Big Sur is a bucket list property for my wife however cash rates are regularly $1,000+/night and we have our 10 year anniversary in 2 months so not enough time to open world of Hyatt card and get a bonus.

Currently have 200k+ Amex membership rewards, 200k+ Marriot Bonvoy, and 200k Hilton honors. Have chase sapphire preferred, but we spend very little so not much ultimate rewards to use, and that appears to be the only platform that transfers to Hyatt.
Are there any point exchanges folks are aware of?

Welcome @Chrisfromthesb - I'm not aware of any other currencies you can transfer to Hyatt other than Ultimate Rewards. You can use your Membership Rewards points and shop through the Amex travel portal, spending those MRs like cash. However I suspect 200K MRs will only get you a couple of nights at VBS. Another option to at least look into would be buying points directly from Points.com. They're not really a good value but it still might be cheaper than paying cash, you'd just have to do the math.

    Hi @Chrisfromthesb ,

The only workaround you have is to purchase Hyatt points outright, given your timeline.

They currently run a promotion getting you an extra 30% points, and if you max it out you can get 71.5k Hyatt points for a little over $1300. That would get you 2 nights at Ventana Big Sur in a standard room (30k points), granted you can find availability.

Your wife could also purchase the same amount, giving you 4 nights there. You would be left with 23k points between the both of you, so if you have at least 7k Ultimate Rewards points, you could transfer them and basically get yourself a 5th night after pooling your points.

Hyatt and properties like that are the only reason I try to put spending on my Sapphire Reserve card: that's where I transfer 90% of my points.

Side note I spend 4 nights at Ventana Big Sur in November, and it was truly an amazing stay. Amazing service, incredible food, and absolutely worth it even if you can't stay for too long!

@Chrisfromthesb I slightly updated my response above with a better workaround I thought about after posting, if you can pool your points with your wife's :) . It would give you 5 nights there for $2640 by purchasing points, which quite frankly is a steal!
