    Hi Lucky,

I want to get max value out of my 70,000 Alaska miles and was looking at the Cathay Pacific first class from Chicago to Hong Kong with a stopover and then continuing on. This is where I am stuck. I was looking at JNB (apparently now it is only angle business HKG-JNB), among others, but what I can't figure out is if I can redeem for USA-Hong Kong-Europe for 70,000 miles? I know I can for Africa/Middle East/India, but am not able to figure out if I can do that routing . Any thoughts are appreciated.

@ matt -- Nope, can't do US to Asia to Europe using Alaska miles. Keep in mind Cathay's business class is excellent, though -- it's not angled, but instead fully flat and reverse herringbone.
