    Hi guys

I'm planning some award bookings to travel between MEL - LHR, that will have been arriving on EQ at DXB at 04:50am then I need to connect onto EY from AUH to LHR departing 08:35. Is this too little time? I understand the travel time between the 2 airports is 1.5 hours... I would probably have to check luggage. The awards for both flights will be F class.

It's a little tight. I think the drive was about an hour the last time I did it. As long as everything works perfectly you'll be fine but have you considered just spending a day in DXB?

What day of the week are you planning to do this? On a weekday, this is next to impossible at that hour of day since you will be stuck in the commuter traffic heading into Abu Dhabi. On a Friday or Saturday (or even at different hours on a weekday), it is possible with a bit of luck.

Thanks guys for the great advice. The issue has gone away now as one of the award seats has disappeared before I got a chance to snag it :). Now booked onto different dates which will give me 2 nights between flying into DXB and out of AUH so now no need to rush after all. Cheers again and thanks for the advice.
