    Hi Lucky,

I hope you are well. I really enjoy your blog and was hoping you could tell me your thoughts if you have a moment.

Like everyone else, I have been traveling substantially less. I have the United Club Card (the old one, not the infinite). I called and they offered me a $100 credit to offset the $450 fee.

The agent told me I could pay the rest of the fee with miles. It would be about 23,000 United Miles for the $350 fee. I know this isn't the best card for earning miles, but I live at a United hub and enjoy club access. Do you think this is a good value? Looking at your valuations, it seems reasonably fair. I just want to make sure I am not missing something.

I have a lot of United Miles collecting dust right now since there is so little opportunity for international travel. Thanks again!

    Luke

Hi Luke. You could just downgrade the card for now and then up it again when you start traveling. Check with a Chase rep for options. There is a no-fee UA card you could bump down to.
