Hi All!! I am getting ready to pay for a trip I am taking in September that is quite a bit of money and was wondering what Credit Card I should use to maximize my earnings/rewards or if I should even consider getting a new card for those rewards. Here are the cards I currently have:

    Delta Skymiles Amex Reserve
    Platinum Amex
    Chase Sapphire Reserve Visa
    Marriott Rewards Premier Plus Visa
    Barclaycard Arrival+ Mastercard

Any thoughts or suggestions are welcomed. Thanks!!

What airline will you be flying? Or do you have a choice? And what about hotels? Without knowing the specifics I would say your best bets are the Platinum Amex or the CSR.

Using the spend to meet sign up bonus requirements will almost always generate the highest return. This might be especially useful for AX cards that are not as amenable to creative spending options.

For your available cards you'll need to decide what your goals are. The DL reserve will help you get redeemable and MQM bonuses. Otherwise as suggested the Platinum for airfare and the CSR for other travel related expenses is a good suggestion. Obviously if you are hoping to use your arrival points towards some of the travel expenses you'll want to put that charge on the A+.

I have already paid for the airline. And the hotels are included in the tour that I am needing to pay for. So, I guess this would just be 'general' travel expenses.

So, it sounds like maybe the CSR may be the best bet? Since, I am only really paying for the tour and not flights or hotels, specifically.

You can pay with the CSR since that earns 3x on travel, assuming the company charging your card is set up with the merchant correctly as travel.

You can also pay with the Arrival+ and redeem their points to cover the cost of some of the charges.
